RACE 6

WINSINFASHION (7) has the opportunity to clear off to the lead, but even if she doesn't, she should be able to work out the ideal stalking trip. I'll also use the filly drawn just to her inside, TINABUD (6). SAUCE ON SIDE (5) and EMPRESS OF LOV (3) have some things going for them, but I'll take a stand against each of them.

RACE 7 - LAS CIENEGAS

ANITA PARTNER (6) is a downhill specialist at Santa Anita, and in a race where it feels like there are a number of fillies and mares trying something they may not necessarily excel at, I'll take the proven commodity. I'll also use CONIAH (1), who could be lone speed, and INSTANT REFLEX (8); I had no intention of using Instant Reflex, but the DRF Clocker Report was raving about how she's been working.

RACE 8

Three horses that are likely to be forwardly placed - GOSOFAR (2), JAY MAKES US LAUGH (3) and ROCKY'S SHOW (4) - are the three runners for me in this leg.

RACE 9

CONQUEST TSUNAMI (6) may be the speed-of-the-speed in Saturday's nightcap, and if he takes to the downhill turf course he could be gone. I'll also use HORSE GREEDY (2) making his second start off a long layoff and RONALD R (8) making his North American debut for Simon Callaghan.
