GUN RUNNER (10) is strictly the horse to beat, but the post position may be enough to get him beat this afternoon. I'm hopeful for a reverse of the Breeders' Cup Classic exacta, with COLLECTED (5) getting the job done this time around. The nine-furlong distance works better for Collected than the 10 of the Breeders' Cup Classic, and his workouts suggest he's ready to roll following a terrible effort in the San Antonio on opening day at Santa Anita.
