The suspected case of equine herpes myeloencephalopathy is now a confirmed case of EHM at Belmont Park.
Blood tests and a nasal swab taken on the 4-year-old filly Ladies Day came back for postive EHM, according to the New York Racing Association.
Ladies Day, a 4-year-old filly owned by Godolphin Racing and trained by Tom Albertarni, was euthanized Friday morning.
Barn 10 at Belmont Park, which housed Ladies Day, is under a 21-day quarantine period that began Friday. The 20 horses in that barn -- 10 trained by Albetrani, 10 trained by Michael Dilger -- will not be permitted to race during the quarantine period.
Evaluator, trained by Dilger, has already been scratched from Sunday's Gander Stakes.
