Summersault back in the win column again, captures Soaring Softly Stakes

Summersault(5-2), under a perfectly judged ride by John Velazquez, ran down Empressof the Nile in the closing strides to win the $75,000 Soaring Softly Stakes, snapping an eight race losing streak dating back to her victory in the Grade 3 Orhid here one year earlier.  Mark Hennig trainis the  6-year-old Summsault for the partnership of William  Parsons Jr and David Howe.
