The scratch of MOONLIT SONG (10) has changed the complexion of the Down Town Allen dramatically (and also the all-stakes pick four sequence which kicks off in this race). With the defection of Moonlit Song, T REX EXPRESS (7) becomes much more interesting. T Rex Express was already a contender before the scratch of the morning line favorite, but it was hard not to believe that Moonlit Song was simply a better horse than T Rex Express. Now that Moonlit Song is gone, T Rex Express becomes a very logical contender and a horse that should be seriously considered as a win candidate.
