Ten Blessings (3) is not the most durable of runners, but the ability is there.

With three wins in seven starts since early 2016, Ten Blessings has shown to be effective in sprints. Saturday, he is trainer Bob Baffert's hope in the Grade 2 Kona Gold Stakes at 6 1-2 furlongs, the day's fifth race.

The $200,000 Kona Gold Stakes has only five runners, including two formidable starters trained by Peter Miller - Bobby Abu Dhabi (2) and Calculator (4).

The morning-line favorite is Ransom the Moon (5), who won the Grade 1 Bing Crosby Stakes at Del Mar last July. Ransom the Moon drew the outside post.

Ten Blessings, who will be ridden by Drayden Van Dyke, is likely to be near the front throughout.
