The longshots Bravazo and Solomini both turned in routine gallops on Thursday morning at Churchill Downs in advance of the Kentucky Derby on Saturday.
"He's as good as he can be," said Bravazo's trainer, D. Wayne Lukas, who acknowledges Bravazo will have to run the race of his life to be competitive.
Solomini seems to have settled in better as the week has progressed. He's still a goofball, but he wasn't as goofy this morning as on Wednesday. He is going to be ridden differently in the Derby. He will be taken back and allowed to make one run, rather be ridden along to try and stay within hailing of the leaders.
