Triple Crown-winning rider Mike Smith will be spending Sunday at Ruidoso Downs in his native New Mexico and as part of his visit he will be raising funds for the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund through a poster signing. Ruidoso on Sunday has a live program and is running nine trials for the Grade 1, $801,564 Rainbow Derby for Quarter Horses. The trials drew Jess Move You, the winner of last month's Grade 1 Ruidoso Derby.
