Summerland and Vintage Man stand out in the $50,000 Spaghetti Mouse for 2-year-olds that goes as the second race.
Summerland was very impressive beating Vintage Man by over 9 lengths when she set a track record for 3 1/2 furlongs in her debut. Vintage Man came back to easily win his second start and has improved greatly since his first start. They are both going around two turns for the first time in the 6 1/2 dash that drew five horses.
The $50,000 Lt. Governors' Handicap could go to any of the 9-horses entered. Trainer Dino Condilenios said it could be the last start for Modern. The 8-year-old multiple stakes winner with $410,222 in earnings will be the one they have to get past to in the 1 1/16 miles race. The All Button is the 7-2 morning-line favorite.
Post time for the Governors' is 4:28.
The track is fast.
