Big Sky Logan (2) was a late scratch from Thursday's third race after the 4-year-old was found to be a gelding when he arrived at the receiving barn. Big Sky Logan, trained by Vladimir Cerin, was listed as a colt at time of entries.

California HOrse Racing Board rules state that trainers must inform a track's racing department within 72 hours of a horse being gelded, so the information can be conveyed to the public when entries are taken. In a situation when a colt is actually a gelding and the situation is realized after wagering has started, the horse must be scratched, according to racing board rules.

Wagering for Thursday's third race began this morning.

Big Sky Logan was 5-1 when he was withdrawn.
