Monte Crista ($10.20), who under Jose Ortiz pressed the soft early pace set by Madame X., kicked clear from that rival turning for home and cruised to a 1 1-4length victory over favored Tapit Today in the $100,000 Riskaverse Stakes for 3-year-old fillies.

Monte Crista, a daughter of Cape Blanco, won for the fourth time in six starts for Country Life Farm and trainer Michael Trombetta.

Monte Crista covered the mile in 1:37.28 over a firm inner turf course.

Tapit Today was second by 2 1-2 lengths over Goodthingstaketime, who nosed out Punked for for third.
