Tiago Pereira has won twice this afternoon, once with trainer Bill Spawr in the Grade 3 L.A. Woman Stakes. They team together with Starr of Quality in Sunday's ninth race, an allowance race with a $40,000 claiming option at a mile.

Pereira won the eighth race on I Belong to Becky ($6.80), putting him in position for a three-win day.

Starr of Quality must beat Just Grazed Me, who won the Fleet Treat Stakes for Cal-bred 3-year-old fillies at seven furlongs on July 29 and was second in the Grade 3 Torrey Pines Stakes at Del Mar on Aug. 26.
