The early wagering for the Empire Distaff fascinates me. Mike Beer and I both mentioned how we thought ENGLISH SOUL (7) was a talented filly - and perhaps better than her paper would suggest; the wagering public clearly agrees, as she's currently the tepid 4-1 favorite. I think she's solid, but at this price she's a severe underlay (in my opinion).
