Newspaperofrecord two races into her career has the makings of a really good horse, and she got a really good post when the field for the $1 million Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf was drawn Monday.

Newspaperofrecord breaks from post 6 in a full gate of 14 two-year-old fields that will run one mile on turf likely to be soft and demanding. Good news! Newspaperofrecord's two races came on turf rated yielding and she skipped over the ground and Saratoga nd Belmont to post consecutive open-lengths wins. Newspaperofrecord won the Grade 2 Miss Grillo Stakes last out by more than six lengths and was made the 2-1 favorite to give trainer Chad Brown his third straight win in this race and fourth in the last five years. 

Five overseas entrants - Lilly's Candle, La Pelosa, The Mackem Bullet, Just Wonderful, and East figure among the entries. All of them are plausible but none stand out, and East drew poorly in post 14.

Concrete Rose, a sharp maiden sprint winner at Saratoga and much the best last out in the Grade 3 Jessamine around two turns at Keeneland, starts from post 1.
