Some light precipitation for the nine-race, all-Tapeta card.
There are some gallant old geldings running, most notaby 12yo Tevez and 10yo Run to the Bank. The 20-time winner Tevez doesn't have a realistic chance in the fourth, a quality $10K claimer. Run to the Bank could end a long drought in the sixth, a bottom $5K sprint, if he simply runs back to his neck loss for $10K on Oct. 7.
Speedsters Corduroy Road and Stolen Identity are the obvious protagonists in the featured OS allowance for 2yos. The latter could end up tracking the former on the backstretch, before going in for the kill, but a suicidal speed duel could set the table for Captain Handsome, who's picking up Da Silva off a troubled ninth in the Frost King Stakes.
The Jackpot Hi 5 carryover is $13K.
Special Forces is an important scratch from the eighth.
