It's too early to tell if there are any potential stars in the upcoming Suncoast at Tampa Bay Downs, but the fillies that are running have intriguing pieces to them:
- WINNING ENVELOPE (2) owns some of the fastest races that any of these fillies have run to date, but she's yet to try the main track in the afternoon; she goes out for sharp connections and sports a hot work on 2/1 (5/8ths in :59)
- TAPIT'S PRINCESS (3) aired at Gulfstream on 1/17, and there's a chance that the Beyer she earned that day is a bit on the light side; she earned a raw 94 TimeformUS rating - a number that would suggest her 65 Beyer could be a bit light
- LADY KATE (4) has a pedigree that would suggest additional distance should be to her liking, but stretching out more than two furlongs in her first assignment against winners is no bargain - especially at a short price
- POINT OF HONOR (7) whistled in her career debut at Gulfstream on 12/16, but that came in an off-the-turf event; if she can replicate that effort against winners, she'll be right there at the wire
