Animosity ($5.80) led throughout an allowance race with an $80,000 claiming option at 1 1-8 miles for fillies and mares, recording her first victory since May.
Ridden by Drayden Van Dyke, Animosity won by 1 3-4 lengths over 9-5 Guiliana, who was stakes-placed in Germany last year. Guiliana had her first start for trainer Leonard Powell and first race since November on Sunday.
Animosity, trained by Paddy Gallagher for Eclipse Thoroughbred Partners, was second in the Grade 2 Honeymoon Stakes here last June, her third start and first loss of her career. Animosity was unplaced in four subsequent starkes andn seventh in an optional claimer on the hillside turf course in February before Sunday's win.
