The G2 Connaught Cup is the second turf stakes of the meet. The seven-furlong event came up light, with the Kentucky shipper Emmaus listed as the 2-1 favorite. His connections, jockey David Moran and trainer Conor Murphy, captured the 2016 Connaught with another European import, Dimenson.

Yorkton is the speed of the Connaught, and Curlin's Honor could rally for a high placing. Eminent Force is scratched.

The Jackpot Hi 5 carryover is nearly $10K.
