Oaklawn Park in Hot Springs, Ark., will roll out a purse increase starting with the races for Saturday, according to the track's overnight that was put out Wednesday. The overnight for Saturday's races reflects the increase, with an example maiden special weight races boosted by $2,000 each, to a purse of $87,000.

Other categories boosted are as follows, according to the overnight:

Allowance races increased by $4,000

Claiming races for a tag of $20,000 or more increaased by $2,000 

Claiming races for a tag of $16,000 or less increased by $1,000 

Oaklawn opened Jan. 24 and races through May 2.  Purses at the meet are projected to average more than $600,000 a program.
